Theo đó, đạo diễn tiết lộ Khải Duy (Cao Minh Đạt) hiện 55 tuổi. Vì quá thương nhớ Thị Bình (Nhật Kim Anh) nên luôn sống trong đau đớn, dày vò. Còn Thị Bình có số tuổi là 45, do qua 3 lần sinh nở và lại sống trong điền kiện thiếu thốn, khổ cực nên Thị Bình “mau già”.

Về phần Hạnh Nhi (Thảo Trang), đạo diễn Phương Điền cũng tiết lộ rằng nhân vật này áng chừng 35- 36 tuổi. Lúc lấy Khải Duy, cô vẫn là thiếu nữ. Còn Thanh Bình (Quốc Huy), con trai riêng của Khải Duy với Thị Bình thì tầm 27 – 28 tuổi.
